Paciente con catarata hipermadura tras uveitis. Presenta catarata N9 con sinequias pupilares e inestabilidad zonular con facodonesis.
Se realiza capsulorrexis, fragmentación y reblandecimiento del núcleo mediante láser de femtosegundo, procediendo después a la facoemulsificación e impllante de lente endosacular con anillo de tensión capsular.
El tratamiento previo con láser femtosegundo permite menor manipulación durante la facoemulsificación del núcleo, muy importante en cataratas hipermaduras con zónula debilitada.

Capsulorhexis, nucleus fragmentation and softening is performed by femtosecond laser, then proceeding to the phacoemulsification and lens implant with capsular tension ring.
Pretreatment with femtosecond laser allows less manipulation during phacoemulsification of the nucleus, very important in cataract hypermature with zonular instability.
